DARN! i took the battery out of my camera last night to charge it, and i forgot to bring it with me today! Ill be sure to get it so that I can upload pictures tomorrow during our break.
The columbian girls returned from their trip to Cannes and Monaco. They said it was BEAUTIFUL! I think I might schedule a weekend there -- we are all trying to figure out our traveling plans for July. Such a rough life.
Today we had our normal class, Le Midi, in the morning. I have a project in there tomorrow that I have been preparing for, so I'll let ya know how that goes!
During our lunch break, I went to the market and got a weightwatchers meal -- I was feeling optimistic about my new diet....until....
I decided to eat a chocolate bar after watching my friend eat one. Oh, and then my other friend stopped at a Patisserie, so I decided to get a little something. GAH! How are the people in France so skinny!!
Then, for our afternoon class that is with the TAs, my group did a bike tour of Montpellier. I haven't been on a bike in no less than 5 years, so I almost hit a few poles, animals, and people...you know, minor things.
It was SO interesting, because our TA took us to parts of Montpellier that I would have never gone to otherwise -- I thought I had seen the whole city! She even showed us the Arab Quarter, which is a block past my apartment -- I didn't know it even existed! She knew all of the history of everything too, so it was really great.
We stopped at a dessert shop that made speciality chocolates and pastries -- It was the cutest little shop EVER! Naturally, I had no choice but to buy a Mille Feuilles -- you should google it. It literally means "thousand sheets." It has alternating layers of bread/crust pastry and custard, with a top layer of really good vanilla/chocolate swirl icing that is not like the icing in the US. OH MON DIEU! It is greattt.
...so much for my diet today. as kevin always says, "diet starts monday."
Tonight, I am going to International Student night at Australian Bar. I didn't get to go last week because I got caught up hanging out with the mass of Irish people, so I am excited to see how it is!
Tomorrow is the last day of our first "semester" of classes. WHOA it has flown by! Our final for Le Midi is not until after we return from Paris though. Phew.
Well I better get home for dinner! Be ready for tons of pictures tomorrow WOOHOO!
